Annual Mushroom Valley Festival is back!

THIS YEAR is the 10th anniversary, and it is shaping up to be one of the best festivals yet.

The 2022 festival – which brings people together to ‘celebrate life’ and learn and experience new things – will be held from Friday, September 16, to Sunday, September 18.

Mushroom Valley is described by organisers as ‘an amazing psychedelic wonderland where we pride ourselves on providing a safe, friendly and fun environment’.

“It’s a place where people from all walks of life can connect with a range of people from all communities and demographics,” the organiser said.

Festival goers can expect to see a variety of music genres including drum and bass, progressive trance, tech house, breaks, dubstep, psytrance, and bass music.

The festival will feature some of the freshest acts from around the world, alongside Australia’s finest talent, according to organisers.

“Mushroom Valley Festival offers a chance to escape from the pressures in our day-to-day lives and connect with likeminded people, in a safe and truly awe-inspiring natural environment.

“It is set in a beautiful location by the O’Connell River, bordering the Cathu State Forest, near Yalboroo.”

Artworks will be installed on the festival site, on the Airlie Beach foreshore, on Saturday, September 24.

The artists-in-residence will create a magnificent outdoor art exhibition in Fairy Tree Park.

Everyone is invited to watch the spectacle unfold as the artists in residence bring their installations, created in collaboration the week before with the local community, to the festival site.
