CLOSING his national tour in Airlie Beach, Australian singer-songwriter, producer, musician and children’s book author, Josh Pyke, is bringing his tour and new album to Magnums Hotel, in December.
After a busy year of shows, including headline shows in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Fremantle, Josh Pyke is closing his tour with the people of the Whitsundays.
Josh Pyke will be celebrating his 45th birthday with the Magnums crowd, on December 18, while he promotes his latest album ‘To Find Happiness’.
‘To Find Happiness’ is his seventh studio album and was announced on November 5, 2021, together with its fourth single ‘Circle of Light’ and released in March this year.
The album debuted at number 17 and is Pyke’s eighth Top 50 album.
“This album was a bit of a surprise, I wasn’t planning to make another record straight after Rome, but the juices were flowing, and I didn’t want the ‘COVID Years’ to be defined by inactivity and stalled plans,” Pyke said.
Australian Musician describes his latest release as ‘an album soaked in sublime melodics and clever pop’.
“To Find Happiness is a poignant and intimate journey that will undoubtedly transfix live onstage when Josh embarks on his mammoth upcoming journey around Australia,” it said.
Josh Pyke has seen widespread success both nationally and internationally since the release of his debut album ‘Memories and Dust’, in 2007.
He has been a part of the Australian music scene for more than a decade, with his arrival to the Triple J universe in the 2005 Hottest 100, with Middle of the Hill coming in at number 19.
Pyke, who is now an ARIA Award winner, has fostered a passionate fanbase of supporters around Australia and the rest of the world.
His music is described as authentic with a deep-set connection to the craft and its ability to unite people.
Each of his albums has brought him closer to his fans and, over the past decade, he’s come to be known as a beloved and respected Australian songwriter.
Josh has seven highly praised albums under his belt and was nominated for the 2020 ARIA awards for his album ‘Rome’.
His latest album ‘To Find Happiness’ features the hit singles The Hummingbird (Ft. Gordi), Your Heart Won’t Always Weigh a Tone and Circle of Light.
