3 LITTLE Birds Espresso and Creative Hub is celebrating its second birthday with a Paint Party in store, on Saturday, June 3, at 3pm.
3 Little Birds Espresso is a local café that also doubles as a shopfront for many local artists to sell their creations; the adjoining room is a space for local artists to showcase their talents.
Artist Joan Hunter from JHunter Creations, also one of the owners of the business, designed an artwork of the iconic Whitsunday Island and Whitehaven Beach, which guests will try to replicate at the paint party.
Locals and visitors to the area will recognise the location of the painting as the view from Hill Inlet.
The artwork is designed for all levels of abilities to follow along.
“We love living in the Whitsundays and highlighting the wonderful creatives, places and people of our town,” Ms Hunter said.
“Over the last two years we have had the pleasure to work alongside many local creators. We wanted to provide great coffee and a place for the locals.”
3 little birds took part in the World’s Greatest Shave, earlier in the year, raising money for leukaemia.
This was a cause very near and dear to their hearts.
“We have had a few challenges on the way, with the biggest being our father passing away from Leukaemia,” Ms Hunter said.
“He was one of our greatest supporters and always said we would succeed because we have each other.”
The sisters are now bringing community members together once again to thank them for the support.
“With the amazing support from the locals, our family, other creators and artists, we have been able to grow and keep serving our community needs,” Ms Hunter said.
“We have expanded our cafe space to provide more seating and products. We have a few projects we are working on with other locals within our creative space.
“We would like to take the opportunity to thank our community for their support.
“We look forward to celebrating in store at 3 Little Birds Espresso and at our Paint Party.”
