THE WHITSUNDAYS has a new real estate agency, with some not-so-new faces.
The new One Agency real estate team servicing the region features ‘Team Kerr’, a mother and daughter duo, who have been working as a real estate team in the Whitsundays for 16 years.
One Agency was established in 2008 and is a popular company for estate agents to get behind due to its unique brand strategy and low monthly real estate licensing fee.
One Agency declares itself as Australia and New Zealand’s fastest growing real estate agency network.
Ellen Kerr started as a real estate agent in the Whitsundays 18 years ago, after her family relocated to the region, from Torquay, Victoria.
Ellen’s passion for her new career rubbed off on her daughter, Bek Kerr, who had always had fun helping her mum prepare envelopes with flyers for letterbox dropping.
Team Kerr was formed 16 years ago and is the Whitsundays’ only mother and daughter real estate team.
Shortly after joining forces, the duo joined Ray White Whitsunday, where they were members of the sales team for almost 15 years.
Since the launch of their new business, the team say they have been inundated with people saying, ‘about time’!
Ellen and Bek were planning to launch their own business a long time ago but, in 2012, Ellen’s husband and Bek’s dad, Peter, passed away suddenly.
After this tragedy, Team Kerr had to push forward through Cyclone Debbie and COVID-19.
There was never a right time to fulfil their dream…until now.
Team Kerr principal Ellen Kerr said One Agency guaranteed she could be an excellent agent for her clients.
“With a background in Victoria as a speculative builder, dealing with agents every day, I knew what, in my opinion, was a good agent and a bad agent,” Mrs Kerr said.
“When I moved to Airlie Beach and had a career change, I wanted to be that good agent.
“One that really cared, the one that gave excellent service. One Agency Team Kerr can guarantee this to their clients.”
With the launch of One Agency Team Kerr, Bek has transitioned into a new role as business operations and marketing manager, which has brought her new challenges and a fresh perspective on the industry.
“I am beyond excited to grow into my new role and bring a new edge to Team Kerr’s service,” she said.
One Agency, meanwhile, is ‘delighted’ and ‘warmly welcomes’ Team Kerr to the One Agency family.
