Tinaroo Lake Regatta
THE FIRST outrigger regatta of the season took place at Tinaroo Lake, on the Atherton Tablelands, on the weekend of March 25.
Outrigger Whitsunday was well represented with 10 paddlers making the trip.
Everyone contributed to a great competition.
Congratulations to Rob and Glenda O’Connor for their win in the OC2 Platinum division, with Glenda paddling in her first regatta.
New member Fabian, after only four months of paddling, enjoyed success with Maree Mullett in the mixed OC2.
Maree had a very successful regatta, placing in several different divisions.
Strong performances were also evident from Michelle and Stephen Lynes, Jenny Fitzpatrick and club president Terry Kemp.
Congratulations to all paddlers for the first regatta of the season.
