ROCK ‘Royalty’ John Fogerty is coming down under to perform at Country Fest Queensland, due to take place in Bloomsbury, on March 30 and 31, 2024.
It is an Australian exclusive show, with the Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman playing only one live show in Australia.
The American country performer is in Australia for the first time since 2012 and will bring his full set of Creedence Clearwater Revival classics.
He will be joined by Morgan Evans, Lee Kernaghan, James Johnston and many more at Country Fest Queensland, which is back for its second year and is presented by NQ Licensed Events and Dittmann Bucking Bulls.
Fogerty will be performing for over two hours, with a set of his own songs, then a second set performing as Creedence Clearwater Revival.
For the first time since 1972, Australian fans can expect to hear the CCR hits they know and love from the legend himself. As leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own.
It was equal parts blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, swamp boogie, and Southern fried rock ‘n’ roll, all united by his uniquely evocative lyrical perspective.
Fogerty is a Grammy winner and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as well as the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Fogerty’s many hit songs, both as a solo artist and as leader of CCR, include ‘Centerfield’, ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Susie Q’, ‘Fortunate Son’, ‘Born on the Bayou’, ‘Bad Moon Rising’ and ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’, among many others.
Due to take place at the Dittmann Bull Pit, Bloomsbury, the two-day County Fest QLD is a destination music and camping festival.
Last year’s inaugural festival drew 11,000 attendees from across Australia, garnering rave reviews.
General tickets are on sale from Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at www.oztix.com.au.
