New map points passengers in right direction

Must read

CRUISE SHIPS are a major economic boost for the region.

February and March will be very busy months for cruise ships arriving into the Whitsundays, as was the case in January.

In February alone, Airlie Beach is scheduled to welcome 10 ships into the region and, in March, an incredible 17 cruise ships are expected.

As always, the volunteer cruise ship ambassadors will welcome all the ships and share their local knowledge and expertise with passengers.

The ambassadors are now equipped with a new Airlie Beach map especially designed for cruise ships.

The map includes key services, bus stops, places to visit in the region, and adverts from Tourism Whitsundays’ member businesses in town.

TW has printed 50,000 copies of the map to cope with the busy 2024 cruise ship schedule.
