THE PIC this week is of a JJK Tennis Easter tradition that has been in existence for many, many years – ‘The Soft Hand Drill’, which is the catching and throwing of raw eggs and no, they are definitely not boiled!
All students took part and, over the course of the week, five dozen eggs were either broken or taken home to make scrambled eggs (P.S. More were broken than taken home!).
Tuesday Night was a ‘full house’, which was full of upbeat tennis. To name a few out playing – Tan, Pam, Denise and five gentlemen. Wednesday night was a beauty and Thursday night was a washout!
Saturday morning, the girls were enjoying a day away from the courts and to make up for it, Saturday arvo was filled to the rafters.
Something new: Thursday night is to be changed to Intermediate players on the front court and on the back court ‘Intermediate Plus’ for the young guys, who hit the ball with speed.
Both groups will run concurrently and will be independent of one another. Look at ‘OpenSports’ for more information or give us a buzz on 0418 866 808.
The AGM will be held on April 15 at 6pm. Contact the club for further information.
School holidays are now underway so…how about hiring a court and having a bash? Pack a picnic and play in the park and head on down to Cannonvale Beach.
