IN RESPONSE to the growing concerns about the environmental impact of fast fashion and the current cost-of-living crisis, Zero Waste Solutions has announced its second Preloved Market Night.
The market, on Friday, June 28, follows the first market, in May, which was billed as a ‘fun and sustainable shopping experience’ and was a huge success.
It is a community driven event, designed to promote sustainability, save money, and bring people together for a night of budget-friendly, eco-conscious shopping.
“Fast fashion’s rapid production cycles contribute significantly to pollution, waste and unethical labour practices,” Zero Waste Solutions’ owner Lucy Smith said.
“By encouraging the community to embrace ‘slow’ fashion, we can reduce our environmental footprint and promote a more sustainable future.”
The event offers a vibrant marketplace where attendees can shop for high-quality, preloved clothing, accessories and homewares, at affordable prices.
“Whether you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe or find unique pieces, our Preloved Market Night provides an enjoyable, cost-effective alternative to buying new,” Ms Smith said.
“There will be coffee and snacks available to purchase on the night, as well as music and great prizes including a prize for Top Fashion Thrift-er (best second-hand outfit on the night).
“Join us for an unforgettable evening and take a step towards a more sustainable lifestyle.”
