A very special night with Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows

Must read

JOIN Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows for a very special night, in October, at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre.

Joe Camilleri has been at the forefront of the Australian music scene for decades.

He is famous for being the leader of Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons and The Black Sorrows.

He is also a writer of Aussie anthems such as Hit & Run, Shape I’m In, Chained To The Wheel, Harley & Rose and Never Let Me Go.

He is the consummate entertainer, constantly honing his craft, an ARIA Hall of Famer and a rock’n’roll lifer.

Joe fronts The Black Sorrows, one of Australia’s most prolific and enduringly popular bands, renowned for their high-energy live shows, musicianship, and infectious, roots-soaked blues rock.

They’ve sold more than two million albums, to date, and won an ARIA Award for Best Group.

The Black Sorrows are celebrating The Black Sorrows’ Live from The Shangri-La, an incredible live recording that captures the spark that defines The Black Sorrows.

In Joe’s words: “Live from The Shangri-La gives you a sense of how far the Sorrows have come, of how we’re always moving forward as a band.

“It’s never about the past. Although we are aways celebrating where we’ve been, we are constantly finding a new and fresh pathway…for the beyond.”

The joy of live music, the excitement of watching great performers playing off each other and feeding off the room, and the thrill of never knowing what is coming next ….but knowing it will be incredible.

This is what The Black Sorrows are all about.
