P&C of Proserpine State School raised about $6,000 at Fete.

Mrs Jean Harding, from Bowen, Doll Doctor and creator of an outstanding doll display, brought her work to show at the fete. All but five of the one hundred dolls came from bits and pieces discarded and broken dolls thrown on the Bowen Tip.

Hot corn was very popular, as were hamburgers and hot dogs. Late stayers were entertained by the talented Proserpine Country and Western and the Pipe Bands.
