“Join us to see our local dance community enjoying and celebrating our talented dancers in their colourful costumes,” a spokesperson said.
“We celebrate dancing, singing and acting with our entertaining performances. Our students are aged four years of age and up.
“Genres of dance styles include ballet, jazz, contemporary modern, tap, hip hop, musical theatre and acrobatics.”
Whitsunday Dance Connection was established in 1996 and strives to ‘inspire, enrich and educate’ students in the art of dance.
“We aim to motivate young minds and develop happy, healthy dancers in an ‘I love to dance’ atmosphere,” the spokesperson said.
“Our goal is to teach musical awareness, develop rhythm and coordination, stretch and strengthen, and improve posture in our dancers.
“Through dance, students learn to build confidence and further develop their social skills.”
The students are well-versed in many styles of dance from ballet, tap and jazz to modern, musical theatre, acrobatics and hip hop.
“Whether our students choose a life path that involves dance or not, we feel that every student who leaves our studio will have a solid foundation to enter the world as a sincere individual with a strong character,” the spokesperson said.

“Our studio has been purpose-built for dance, with one large and one small studio, which are air conditioned and fitted out with ballet barres and mirrors.
