IF YOU haven’t checked out Hogs Breath Cafe Airlie Beach since the new owners took over, this holiday season might be the perfect time!
Jean-Paul ‘JP’ Afflick and Adam Zakharoff have been busy bringing back the ‘old vibe’ to the much-loved restaurant since they took over, on July 1.
The new owners – both Hog’s Breath veterans – are strongly customer focused.
“The old days of Hogs Breath are back,” JP said.
“This is the OG Hog’s Breath Cafe, the very first one ever opened, in 1989.
“Come by for great food, and making great memories, and to try our legendary 18-hour slow-cooked Prime Rib — the best a steak can get.
“We’re serving up bigger and better meals for the whole family – Hog’s Breath is the home of Hog’spitality!”
As well as the legendary steaks, the delicious burgers and milkshakes are another firm favourite at Hog’s Breath Café, especially with the kids – and not forgetting the curly fries, of course.

Patrons can celebrate ‘Floral Shirt Friday’ at the OG Hogs.

On Saturdays, there are live gigs from 1pm to 4pm – the perfect way to kick off the weekend with great vibes and fantastic music.
Adam and JP have also reinstated the OG Hogs club, with OG standing for ‘original gangster’, an expression of respect or admiration for someone being original or first at something.
