THE REGION’S Annual Show Whitsunday is two days of action, showcasing agriculture and cultural heritage with exciting entertainment and competitions for all ages.
It’s a chance to catch up with family and friends and enjoy an extensive schedule of competitions and exhibits, which is what started the Show tradition 112 years ago.
2025 marks the 112th Annual Show
“It is amazing to think that this region’s volunteers and community residents have come together to display, compete, and socialise for well over a century,” a show spokesperson said.
“Our regional show has only been cancelled three times in its vast history – two world wars and COVID-19 – quite a testament to the show’s importance to the residents of this region.”
The annual Agricultural Show is primarily about competition and entertainment, with a carnival-like atmosphere of sideshow alley, mixed with thrilling ringside entertainment.
There are also animal exhibits (cattle and poultry), equestrian events, the woodchop and let’s not forget the arts, crafts, photography and cooking competitions.
The entertainment staple is of course the thrills and spills of sideshow alley and its many rides – a wonderful way to create lasting memories with family and friends – no matter your age!
From the Giant Slide, the Dodgem Cars, TheWhizzer, Hurricane, Gravitron, Spinning Teacups, Jumping Castles – the list goes on…
Melville’s Baby Animal Farm is the most popular site on the grounds and has been for many years.
It’s a fabulous opportunity to cuddle and feed these gorgeous, cute baby animals and get some photos with your children and grandchildren.
Once again, you will also be able to immerse yourself in Precision Reptiles interactive wildlife education display.
A great opportunity to educate yourself and your family in a safe environment.
Also back is Airtime FMX Motocross, promising the Whitsundays another weekend of thrilling Freestyle Motocross.
With high-profile long-term clients including Sydney Royal Easter Show, V8 Supercars, Titans NRL, Ekka and Adelaide Royal Show, drawing crowds and providing action-packed entertainment is what they specialise in.
Airtime FMX perform on both Friday and Saturday, including a performance Friday evening, and there will be an opportunity to meet and greet the team and get some autographs for diehard fans.
