Whitsunday businesses: Help shape the region’s future

Must read

LOCAL businesses are being asked to have their say by speaking up and getting involved in helping to shape the region’s future.

The Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry is calling on businesses to get involved in a number of ways.

From responding to important surveys to sharing feedback on significant issues affecting the region, there is a wide variety of ways to become involved.

Following are a few, submitted by the Chamber.

Proserpine Visitor Services – We Need Your Voice
Big changes in Proserpine tourism – including the closure of the RV Park and Visitor Information Centre – have left many asking what’s next.

The Chamber’s Proserpine Sub-Committee wants to hear directly from local businesses about the impact and your ideas for new opportunities.

A quick survey has been set up and all responses will remain confidential.

Your input will shape a public report to help push for better visitor services and stronger economic outcomes. Have your say before Friday, August 29.

Housing for Workers – Tell Us What’s Really Happening
Struggling to find or keep staff because of housing? You’re not alone.

Since 2025, the Chamber has been working alongside government and industry, through the Whitsunday Coast Workforce Accommodation Working Group.

Now we want insights from those on the front line – real estate agents and accommodation providers.

Share what you’re seeing in terms of demand, commuting, costs and availability.

Your feedback will help guide practical solutions, so businesses can grow and staff can stay.
