‘A refreshing view of the world’

Must read

BRAD Butcher is putting on a show at the Queens Beach Hotel, Bowen, on Friday, June 16, while he joins Busby Marou on their Tiny Towns Tour.

The Queensland singer songwriter is gracing the stage for one night only, leading up to the release of his sixth studio album, in September 2023.

Brad Butcher’s first single Well Dressed Man was inspired by his grandfather, who worked on Queensland cane farms and was recorded with highly acclaimed and multi award winning Australian producer Matt Fell, in Sydney.

Butchers’ song writing has been nominated for a stack of awards in the past four years, as well as three Queensland Music Awards in 2012, 2013 and 2016.

He was a finalist for the APRA Professional Development Award and a finalist for the CMC New Oz Artist of the Year Award,

He has toured Australia and the United States multiple times, even performing at the iconic Bluebird Café, in Nashville, and at New York City’s The Bitter End, in Greenwich Village, in 2016.

He also appeared on Canada’s prime time breakfast television show, Canada AM, while on tour performing in Toronto’s NXNE Festival, in 2013.

Brad Butcher has graced the stage and supported some of the finest artists to rise from Australian soil, such as Troy Cassar-Daley, Busby Marou, Diesel, Mark Seymour and Shane Nicholson.

Brad Butcher’s biography tells how he isn’t about writing to please a certain demographic nor aiming for fame or fortune.

But, rather, he wants to tell his story in the only way he knows, with honesty and his unique writing quality, with a refreshing view of his world.

From his childhood days fishing the Pioneer River, his sporting years playing Rugby League in Mackay, working in coal mines as a crane operator and rigger, to touring the world as a musician, Brad’s stories commentate on reality, mental health, growing up in Central Queensland and the daily grind.
