Airlie Beach Festival of Music: Daily lineup announced

GET READY for five days of epic rock in the Whitsundays when the 2024 Airlie Beach Festival of Music takes to the stage!

The festival is due to take place from November 8 to 10, this year, and excitement is building amongst venues tourism businesses and the locals.

The annual event, presented by the Whitsunday Sailing Club, promises an unforgettable experience with its diverse lineup and lively atmosphere.

For those looking to dive into the full festival experience, grab a three-day pass that gives you access to five days of entertainment for $320 including all the headliners in the Main Tent.

It also gives you entry to one dozen street venues, from Friday to Sunday, the Thursday Welcome Party, at Magnums, and the Monday After Party, at Northerlies.

“This is a fantastic way to soak up all the festival has to offer, while getting great value for your money in a time where every one of music fans’ entertainment dollars count,” festival founder Gavin ‘Butto’ Butlin said.

The highly anticipated daily lineup has been announced, with one-day tickets now available, so you can plan your festival weekend.

If you can’t make it for the full festival, don’t worry—there’s still plenty to enjoy each day with individual day tickets on sale now.

Prices are $85 for Friday, November 8; $130 for Saturday, November 9; and $130 for Sunday, November 10.

This is also a great opportunity to catch Sweet (UK) on their farewell tour around Australia.

The British glam rock icons, known for hits like Ballroom Blitz and Fox on the Run, made waves in the 70s with their flamboyant style and catchy tunes.

With 13 Top 50 hits in Australia, including two number ones, Sweet defined an era and influenced countless artists.

Here’s a snapshot of what to expect each day:

Thursday November 7:

Magnums Welcome Party: Kick off the festivities with this vibrant event featuring 19 Twenty and Obisun for just $20 (free for three-day pass holders)

Friday November 8:

Commencing from 4pm in the Main Tent will be the Passport to Airlie 2024 Finals followed by Avalanche, Thirsty Merc and Jebediah

Saturday November 9:

Rock out to some of Australia’s finest – Rose Tattoo, Pseudo Echo, Christine Anu, 19 Twenty, Ash Grunwald and Genevieve Chadwick.

Sunday November 10:

Catch British rock legends Sweet on their final tour, a rare opportunity to experience this band with a legendary legacy.

Also playing the Main Tent through the afternoon are Southern Sons, Bondi Cigars, Reece Mastin, Sandi Thom and Rav Thomas Band.

Monday November 11:

Northerlies After Party: Continue the celebration with Bondi Cigars, Matty Rogers, Salt and Steel and more, for just $25.

Free bus travel is available for all ticket holders, making transportation easy and convenient.
