BUSBY Marou is bringing their Tiny Towns Tour to Bowen, at the Queens Beach Hotel, on Friday, June 16, at 8pm.
Fans of acoustic music, the blues and Australian artists won’t want to miss this incredible performance.
Busby Marou (pronounced buz-bee ma-roo) are an Australian musical duo originally from Rockhampton, Queensland.
The duo consists of Thomas Busby and Jeremy Marou, while other musicians perform with them in concert.
At the APRA Music Awards, in 2012, the duo won ‘Blues and Roots Work of the Year.’
Busby Marou have gained the reputation as one of Australia’s hardest working live bands, best known for their distinctly Australian storytelling and gifted musicianship.
Their success includes four ARIA Charting albums.
The self-titled album is certified ARIA Gold, while their most recent albums – The Great Divide and Farewell Fitzroy – debuted in the top five.
Postcards From the Shell House was Busby Marou’s first ARIA #1 album.
The duo have been nominated for multiple ARIA awards and have won four APRA awards, Triffid album of the year, and multiple Queensland music and Deadly awards.
They have millions of global streams across the four album releases and are now the face of Tourism and Events Queensland, starring in the advertising campaign promoting Queensland.
This is a huge year for Busby Marou, with the release of their fifth album Blood Red due on July 21, 2023.
In the preparation, they are spending the month of June revisiting their favourite Tiny Towns, playing special intimate shows to folks that aren’t spoiled with regular live music.
They are bringing their good mate Brad Butcher on the road to kick off proceedings.
