COLLINSVILLE residents are thankful for their small community of people who have big hearts.
Collinsville may not have any traffic lights, taxis, or fast-food outlets, but they do have Dave Passmore.
Dave Passmore has lived in Collinsville for 40 years and is a treasured member of the community.
Collinsville residents arrive at work every day knowing someone has delivered the newspapers, cleaned the footpath, and taken the table and chairs out for their customers.
Dave walks 5km to town every day, sometimes with his lawn mower and whipper snipper, to mow community members’ lawns.
He is at FoodWorks every morning, at 5am, ready to help the supermarket workers, setting up their table and chairs and putting out the shop signs.
He then moves on to the local hardware store to set up the display of mowers and plants.
Dave never asks for anything in return, as he has a big heart when it comes to looking after his community.
