True Heart Connections is located at Ocean Club, Coral Sea Marina, and was founded by Whitsunday Arts Festival award winner Jacqui Henderson.
Learn to make art that is quirky, simple, and fun at the Coral Sea Academy event, due to be held on January 25.
Mrs Henderson said the class would teach participants to capture moments of joy from their day and then provide them with materials to create a colourful picture of the things that made them smile.
It’s a really creative way to lift the spirits and connect mind, body, and soul.
“My inspiration comes when connected through heart, capturing moments of joy, and creating artwork,” Mrs Henderson said.
“This can be a simple, quirky ink drawing with some watercolour, or realistic pastel portraits with a few words presented in a book for children.
“Wall art for babies’ nurseries, portraits of beloved pets, paintings, cards, and postcards of our beautiful area.”
All materials are provided and there is no experience necessary; the mediums used in the class include acrylics, soft pastels, water colour, and ink.
The class fee is $49.99 per person.
Participants can meet outside the Garden Bar Bistro, at Coral Sea Marina, at 9am.
