CREATIVE kids should get along to the Proserpine Farmer’s Market, on a Saturday morning, as there are now pop-up art workshops on offer!
The workshops are being run byDawn Pearce, a local artist who has been teaching for more than 32 years.
The Proserpine Famer’s Market is held once a fortnight – on the first and third Saturday of each month – at Proserpine Health N Fitness, in Chapman Street.
“Dawn works in various mediums, with her most popular mediums being water colours, acrylics and silk painting,” Proserpine Health N Fitness co-owner June Miller said.
“Dawn has won numerous art awards and has had an art exhibition in Japan.”
The pop-up art classes for children will coincide with the Proserpine Farmers Market and will run from 9 am to 11 am.
“They will continue as long as there is enough interest,” Mrs Miller said.
The next Proserpine Farmer’s Market is due to take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
