Fun Race to Gretel by Two and a Half Minutes.

In perfect weather, at the weekend, ‘Gretel’, a former America’s Cup Challenger, beat the ‘Spirit of Queensland’, brought here specially for the race by Chris Dorrough, by two and a half minutes, to win the eighth Airlie Fun Race.

The Fun Race was a colourful flotilla of boats filled with merry-making crews in various costumes and au natural.

Guests and locals mingled on the dance floor and patio, listening to the delightful music by the Airlie Beach Boys, at the first Fun Race Ball.
