PICKLEBALL is really taking off in the Whitsundays.
It was a big afternoon heat wise and play wise. The group were so pleased to be back on court after missing last week to the fizzled cyclone.
Saturday morning was a ‘Bobby Dazzler’. Three courts of action. George and partner Sharnae and Pete.
Pete has ditched tennis for pickleball (we won’t tell the social tennis players).
Pickleball is now available for play on Wednesday night at 6pm. Book in on Opensport.
Why is there a Pickleball craze? It has been put down to the ease of play, the low cost of playing and its sociability.
So now you know it is easy to play, we would love to see you at the courts. Paddles are available and are included in the cost of the sessions. Cost to play is as cheap as chips.
This week’s pic is of the Thursday afternoon group wishing Gerry (sitting in centre on seat) a happy birthday. The rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ was mystical!

Till next week ‘Paddles Up’.
