IF YOU haven’t yet joined the team at the Belvedere Restaurant for the recently launched Sunday Sessions lunches, now’s a great time.
The Belvedere is located at Toscana Resort, on the hill overlooking Airlie Beach.
It prides itself on offering ‘the perfect fusion of exquisite wines and delectable cuisine, creating an unparalleled and unforgettable dining experience’.
During October, there’s a great lineup of music at the Sunday Sessions lunches.
Great music and delicious food – what more could one want on a Sunday afternoon!
Sunday, October 15 – Louisa Taylor
Originally from Adelaide, Louisa Taylor is a pianist and vocalist now living in Airlie Beach. Tickling the ivories since the age of six, and learning vocals in her teenage years, she plays the classics everyone knows and loves, and takes on newer music too. Having played on Hamilton Island, she has created memorable atmospheres, where crowd interaction and sing-a-longs got everyone involved. Hugely inspired by Alicia Keys, Elton John and Missy Higgins, she sings with her soul and delivers a passionate performance every time. She takes requests, spins her own take on newer and older music, and has a wide range of songs. Follow her journey @louisa.taylor.russo on Instagram.
Sunday, October 22 – Geoff Willis
Australian celebrity composer and pianist Geoff Willis has been passionate about his music since he and his identical twin brother David first started performing on stage and television at five years old.
A teacher and former director of music at Melbourne Grammar School, Geoff also co-founded the Australian Children’s Choir. He is the composer and lyricist of three exciting new musicals, including The Great Houdini, Oprah the Opera, and Billie and the Outback Dinosaurs.
Sunday, October 29 – Stevie J
Locally cherished talent Stevie J is returning again to grace the keys, playing all the hits from Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Lionel Richie, Elvis Presley, Richie Valens, James Taylor and many more. Stevie is a personable, friendly and charismatic performer, who knows how to liven up the room whilst also leaving space to connect with the crowd.
