THE TOWN is buzzing with the news that Australian icon Delta Goodrem AM is filming a movie right here in the Whitsundays.
Delta Goodrem AM is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress who has been in the public eye since she was 15 years old.
Many Australians know her for her role as Nina Tucker, on Neighbours.
In 2022, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2022 Australia Day Honours for ‘significant service to the not-for-profit sector, and to the performing arts’.
Delta is currently in a relationship with musician Matthew Copley but the two aim to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
Mr Copley visited local Whitsunday florist ‘Karen Hill Floral Design & Wedding Florals’ to purchase flowers for Ms Goodrem, on Valentine’s Day.
Karen Hill said Delta was tight-lipped about filming, when she delivered her the flowers, but she was ‘lovely’ and ‘just a regular person’.
“The flowers were from her boyfriend, and he sent them to her for Valentine’s Day,” Ms Hill said.
“They’re filming something, but I don’t know what.
“She was lovely, just a regular person with regular people around her.”
The news that Goodrem is filming in the Whitsundays comes at the same time that Lake Proserpine boat ramp closed, for a filming project, on Tuesday, February 21.
However, it is unknown if the two are linked, at this stage.
