THE TAFE Queensland Aquaculture Centre of Excellence held an Open Day, on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
It was held at the Whitsunday Campus, in Cannonvale, from 10am to 12pm.
There was an opportunity to meet staff and industry representatives, and tour the new facilities, which have recently been stocked with barramundi.
TAFE Queensland media and communications manager Matt Jones said the morning was well attended.
“In speaking with the team on the ground at our Whitsundays campus, the event on the weekend was well received,” he said.
“We had around 40 people interested in learning more about the training on offer and career pathway opportunities available.”
The Honourable Di Farmer MP, Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development, is expected to officially open the new facility soon – date to be advised.
