THE WHITSUNDAY Game Fish Club is holding its Barra Bash, at Lake Proserpine, over the weekend of May 19 to 21, 2023.
This will be a very low-key, fun weekend, with the theme being catch a barra or two, tell or listen to a few stories around a campfire, and just enjoy the camping facilities and all the lake has to offer.
The barra in Lake Proserpine are some of the biggest in Queensland with many over the ‘magic’ metre in length.

Hot showers, toilets and firepits are on site. Firewood will be available for purchase or you can bring your own. There will be plenty of space for your boat.
Don’t forget to bring your best barra lures and your Freshwater Impoundment Fishing Permit, obtainable in person from Australia Post outlets or online at SIPS, through to the DPI website.
