THIS WEEK, Whitsunday Sailing Club president Terry Archer announced that a limited number of VIP berth packages for the 2024 Race Week are now available.
“In recent years we have received feedback from entrants about the difficulty in securing berths for the week, so we have designed these packages, which allow competitors to lock in their berths this month,” Mr Archer said.
“We expect there to be more demand than supply, so anyone interested in securing these should go to the website asap.”
Last year saw more than 150 boats entered into the regatta, with even more entrants expected in 2024 now that more sailors have re-emerged from the COVID period and sailing clubs are back in full operation.
This year’s event is looking to be a big increase on recent years, with live entertainment from the opening night.
Having a VIP package gives entrants a range of different benefits – apart from the berth – such as merchandise, tickets to the long lunch and, of course, a bar tab to enjoy at the Whitsunday Sailing Club.

This year’s Airlie Beach Race Week is due to take place from August 8 to 15, 2024.
