AN INCREDIBLE $2,000 was presented to Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network (WSPN) last week, following another very successful Whitsunday Cruisin’ Car & Bike Show.
Whitsunday Cruisin’ Car Club was extremely proud to present the cheque, last Thursday, at Plants Whitsunday.
The annual Whitsunday Cruisin’ Car & Bike Show is held on the last Saturday in May.
Thanks to the organisation and hard work of the show committee, club members, volunteers and entrants – as well as the many local sponsors supporting the event – this donation to a local organisation was possible.
“Of course, a special thank you to Coral Sea Marina for the idyllic location, which showcased so many cars, bikes, trucks and entrants’ pride and joy,” WCCC secretary Kerri Southee said.
“Funds were raised from the events, raffles and support of the wonderful Whitsunday community on the day.
“These funds will go towards ongoing support of this important issue in our region.
“The amazing generosity of sponsorship covered the expenses of the show, which allowed the Whitsunday Cruisin’ Car Club to put money back into our local community.
“We are proud to assist the amazing work of the Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network.
“Whitsunday Cruisin’ Car Club would like to thank all those who entered this year’s show, attended the event, and received the kindness and support of the amazing sponsors.
