ON SATURDAY afternoon, the Cannonvale Cannons hosted their annual Club Championships.
Coaches Ken Crittenden and Mark Erickson were very proud of all the swimmers and their outstanding achievements.
The swimmers tried extremely hard and achieved a total of 130 PBs. It was great to hear swimmers cheering and encouraging each other.
Some of the highlights: One of the toughest age groups was the 7 years and under and, despite not being able to win a ribbon, 5-year-old Harry Chegwidden and Millah Walker gave everything a real crack.
ĂŹndigo Harland, aged 6, was very inspirational, swimming 100m IM in 3.50.05.
The 9-year-old boys were exciting to watch. Alex Trefz, Jax Clayworth, Declan Dichiera and Harris Delac put 100 per cent into all the races.
The 10 and 11-year-old girls were also thrilling to watch.
The 10-year-old girls – Stevie Lee, Matilda Nicholes, Andie Reynolds and Ruby Harland – raced hard and they swam PBs in all their events.
The 11-year-old girls – Abi Maher, Isabella Pisaniello, Sophie Fletcher and Roxy Groom – really enjoyed the afternoon and swam excellent times.
Even though there were only two competitors in the 15-year-old girls, it was exciting to watch the close tussles between Holly Perrin and Remy Hedges.
Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated, on Saturday.
