ON SATURDAY, 27 Cannons and their families travelled to Mirani to compete at the Mirani Family Swim Meet.
All the swimmers swam extremely well picking up 60 PBs, ribbons, medals, A grade times and qualifying times.
Even though the coaches couldn’t attend the carnival, they were very proud of all the swimmers and their outstanding achievements.
Congratulations to the Cannons who won the majority of their events in their relevant divisions – Eloise Chegwidden, Jax Clayworth, Zane Clayworth, Ehsan Helou, Lucas Korosec, Isaac Pisaniello, Isabella Pisaniello and Dylan Reynolds.
The coaches were very impressed with the Freestylers.
Brothers Alex and Zach Trefz and Jasper Korosec swam excellent times in their 100m Freestyle to take out 1st place.
In the 11-year-old girls, Matilda Nicholes and Andie Reynolds swam fantastic times in their 100m and 200m Freestyle, swimming massive PBs and taking out 1st place in different divisions.
Mackenzie Bennett and Tora Delac smashed out super times in their 50m Freestyle to take out 1st place.
Ruby Harland and Harry Delac’s best swim was their 200m Freestyle.
Millie Groom and Celeste Orenshaw had a brilliant carnival swimming. They both swam outstanding times in their 100m Butterfly and 200m IM.
Tyler Bennett and Declan Dichiera swam impressive times in their 50m Butterfly. Both boys took close to three seconds off their previous best times.
Congratulations to Harry Chegwidden, Maeve Dichiera, Thomas Ganter, Anisa Helou and Eric Mulliss, who achieved top placings in their age group for the majority of the events.
The Cannonvale Cannons would like to commend all the swimmers who were selected for the Skins events and thank all the wonderful parents who helped with officiating and managing the team.
