International Airport?
According to the WTA, the debate over whether Hamilton Island or Proserpine Airport become international is premature. Federal and State Governments consider the three current international airports are adequate, at the moment.
Unleaded Petrol
At present, the only bowsers for unleaded petrol are at the Shell Service Station, in Main Street, but they will soon be appearing in all Proserpine service stations. In 1986, it became standard in all vehicles.

Squash:
Men’s semi-final winners were M. Richards and K. Miller. Kate Rigby defeated Juanita Lewis in four sets in the women’s final.
Tennis:
Ted’s Tactics long winning streak was ended by Slack Shot with Thelma McDonald and Maureen Minon’s win proving crucial.
Archery:
Rodney Wagner shot the club’s top score in the indoor F.I.T.A. at Airlie All Sports.
