WHAT started out as a possible washout turned into a very hot sunny day at Home Hill, last week.
A large field of 72 players, 46 men and 26 ladies, on a 9-hole course made for some waiting time but this was easily made up for by the lunch, which was excellent as always.
While the scoring wasn’t brilliant, the Prossie ladies did pretty well in the rundown with Kathryn Borer, Elspeth Scotford, Leanne Alexander, Tiina Randmae, Jenny Hounsell and Linda Wardroper all featuring.
The PGC men who made the rundown were Louis Neethling, Barry Mortimer and Gary Scotford.
