WHITSUNDAY Dirt Riders will be hosting the last dirt track race day for the year, this weekend.
The Whitsunday Cup will feature an invitational, 10-lap ‘Dash for Cash’ proudly sponsored by Moloko Homes – Aspire Whitsundays, with some of the state’s best PRO450 riders.
Racing will start at 3pm, on Saturday, October 15.
“It’s been a busy year for Whitsunday Dirt Riders hosting the Queensland Dirt Track Titles, in April, and Round Four of the Tropical North Queensland Motocross Series, in July,” spokeswoman Therese Moran said.
“Getting the Motocross track ready to host an event that saw just over 200 riders, along with families, was a big task.
“We would like to acknowledge Whitsunday Regional Council for their assistance with a special projects grant.
“This allowed us to improve track drainage and track access for emergency services.”
The event will be held at Whitsunday Dirt Riders, Lascelles Drive, Proserpine (the road to Whitsunday Coast Airport).
