WHOOSH. That was Christmas…and New Year!
I hope you had a good one of both and had time to catch up with family and friends.
I certainly enjoyed my downtime, even though it was short.
The rain hampered my aspirations of swimming (I know you’re going to ‘get wet anyway’ in the water but it’s not quite the same).
And we did try to go for a walk on Conway Beach but arrived there only for the heavens to open with force!
But it doesn’t matter. I wasn’t working. I spent time with someone I love.
My batteries are charged again.
Meanwhile…
We hope you enjoy the first issue of 2023, put together by a ‘skeleton’ crew as everyone’s on holidays! Well, most of them, anyway.
Being a small team, we have to juggle quite a bit, and the staff seem to have mastered that trick, for which I am very grateful.
It’s a bit like passing the baton, in a relay team, and everyone does their part.
And lastly
It appears we might have had royalty staying in the region – music royalty that is!
Sir Elton John is rumoured to have been holidaying in the Whitsundays with the ‘air waves’ absolutely buzzing with rumours.
The music legend was supposed to have been soaking up the North Queensland sun before his Final Tour show dates, with a stay on Hayman Island, before departing Hamilton Island in his private jet.
If anyone has tickets for the tour, it’s going to be great if his concert in Townsville three years ago was anything to go by.
I was lucky enough to see him in February 2020 just before all the COVID restrictions kicked in and he was AMAZING!
