Must read

FIFTEEN keen and energised swimmers travelled to Bowen to compete at the annual Bowen Family LC transition Meet, on the weekend of March 22 and 23, 2025.

“This weekend was a chance for our swimmers to race and have a great time with their teammates,” WSC president Amanda Yuskan said.

“And what a way to end a busy few months of competition.

“There were PBs, medals, ribbons and a lot of laughter. Once again, the area knew the Whitsunday Swimming Club was in town!”

The biggest PB of the weekend was Mackenzie, with a massive 25.82 second improvement in her 50m Freestyle, followed by Hayden with a 13.84 second improvement in his 200IM, earning him 1st place.

Ti had four PB/s out of six swims and Chloe earned a bunch of A Grade upgrades.

Mia, Savanah, Leyton, Alissa, Emeilia, Georgia, Jack, Jax, George, Summer and Jackson all swam incredibly, all the while ensuring fun and laughter was had.

“Thank you to coach Jenny for supporting our swimmers, as always, and to our amazing parents for keeping our swimmers swimming,” Mrs Yuskan said.

The final club night for Whitsunday Swimming Club is this Monday, March 31, from 5.45pm at the Proserpine pool.

Everyone is welcome.
