THE WHITSUNDAYS Arts Festival is bringing Emmy Winner and three-time Grammy nominated American recording artist Toni Childs to Airlie Beach, as part of the Whitsundays Songwriter Festival.
The Songwriter Festival, from Thursday, August 31 to Monday, September 4, 2023, is now in its second year.
It provides a brilliant opportunity for local songwriters to learn from seasoned professionals, including Toni Childs, in an immersive one-day workshop.
Toni will also perform alongside other outstanding artists in the Concert and Conversation event, at Paradiso, on Saturday, September 2.
Toni Childs is a celebrated singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice, inspiring independent spirit, and crafted storytelling.
With fans in more than 50 countries around the world, she has produced a list of international hits such as: Don’t Walk Away, Stop Your Fussin’, Walk and Talk Like Angels, Many Rivers to Cross, to name a few.
Over her illustrious career, she has opened for Bob Dylan and performed duets with greats such as Al Green and Peter Gabriel.
The Concert and Conversation event promises to be a captivating night of music and engaging conversation and offers the opportunity to connect with some of the most renowned and dynamic songwriters and artists in Australia.

Festival co-founders Karen Jacobsen and Francesca de Valence said bringing Ms Childs to the region was huge.
